The company was formed in 1996 by Chris Mitchell, a former head of entertainment for Butlins and Margaret Garry B.Ed. an internationally acclaimed vocalist and a former primary school teacher. Chris and Maggie believed a marketplace existed for innovative, original live stage shows and M&M Theatrical Productions was born.

Over a decade later, having entertained many millions of customers, we have now firmly established our reputation as the UK’s number one children’s touring theatre company. As a company we are totally committed to providing superb, value for money productions that are magical, colourful and, most importantly, wonderfully entertaining. M&M Theatrical Productions believe that live entertainment is still immensely popular and should, if presented in an energetic, exciting format, be able to transport the audience to a level of enjoyment that television, cinema and the internet will never equal.

M&M have been particularly successful in children's theatre and the magic of our children's productions is now well and truly established in the hearts and minds of schoolteachers, small theatre managers and club bookers throughout the United Kingdom and beyond. There is no magic formula for our success; it is simply that we talk to children, adults, customers and bookers and ask them what they would like to see. We then take those ideas and, using the most creative talent available, put together the very best production we can.

We have invested heavily in our highly skilled and professional production team, breathtaking costumes, state of the art sound and lighting systems and visually stunning stage sets. In order to maintain our high standards we audition over two thousand actors annually and at any one time we can have up to one hundred actors touring the country performing to the two million customers we entertain each year.

Our purpose built production complex contains everything needed to ensure we can develop, design, build and paint every set in-house ensuring an extremely high level of quality control and innovative design. Production House also contains a custom workshop, 6 magnificent rehearsal studios, our customer call centre and the office space required to keep our production and management team warm and cosy. The permanent office team of over twenty talented, motivated professionals augmented by our huge performer/specialist database ensures we are able to deliver exactly what we promise – unforgettable, value for money magic!!!!

M&M Theatrical Productions is now the largest touring theatre company in the UK, our reputation has spread into international markets and we receive enquiries from all over the world. In 2008 we performed over two hundred and fifty shows to an international audience at festivals in the United Arab Emirates.
